The Little League Challenger Division® was founded in 1989, and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division (our Dream League Division) accommodates players ages 5 to 18; or up to age 21 (18 - 21 will need to be approved by the Dream League Coordinator). In the Dream League, every player bats every inning, batters swing until they get a hit (with or without assistance), players are safe on the bases, there are no outs and every player scores a run each inning. Safety balls are used and the ball is pitched by an adult coach or hit off a tee. Players are assisted by “buddies” who provide encouragement and assistance as needed. This is our 10th season with the EMW League. We have many veteran coaches and volunteers. Games are played Saturday mornings, at the Creek Road fields in Elma. The plan is to begin the season in early May and play through June, with the exception of Memorial Day Weekend. All players get team uniforms and an award at the end of the season. Our players have fun, make lasting memories and make great friends. Dream League registrations are $35. Online registration for players 18 & under only. Prospective players aged 18 - 21 can email [email protected] for registration information** Residency is not a requirement. **If you have any questions, email [email protected].To register go to emwbaseball.org
